Let's Make Kevin Jennings Head of Homeland Security

Now that we know the job of Homeland Security Director consists mostly of arranging government-sponsored fondling of private citizens, we have a clear choice for the task: Kevin Jennings, Obama’s “Safe School Czar.”

Obama awarded Jennings this prestigious post based on his proven track record as founder of Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Education Network (GLSEN), in which he conned taxpayers to pay him to teach hardcore homosexual sex acts to 12-year-olds. The good folks at Mass Resistance have hair-raising audio recordings of the antics at a GLSEN “Teach-Out” Conference on March 25, 2000 held at Tufts University, in which “Children as young as 12 were instructed by adults (state employees!) how to perform a range of dangerous and perverted homosexual sex acts.”

Clearly, Jennings it just the man for the job. A word of caution to parents of adolescent boys: please allow extra time for processing your son through security.

Richard Curtis wrote one of my favorite movies of the last twenty years, Notting Hill, a frothy romantic comedy starring Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant.

He also just wrote No Pressure, the eco-fascist snuff movie that delights in bloodily executing kids and other worthless humans who refuse to reduce their carbon footprints.

Sick doesn't even begin to cover it.

This powerful editorial in USA Today by a father who lost his son on 9/11 dispenses facts about Islam in a forthright manner without the customary hat-tip to political correctness. It also accuses Mayor Bloomberg of being the "spiritual heir" to Jews who refused to see the truth about the Nazis until it was too late -- an accurate assessment that the mainstream media has completely blacked out until now.

Interestingly,the many reader comments that follow Mr. Gadiel's editorial are also refreshingly bold and devoid of the customary cant.

I don't think USA Today would have published this editorial even a few months ago, and the fact that they did suggests that the ruling class may be beginning to recognize that their aggressive love affair with the Ground Zero mosque is waking up the public fast.

It's said opposition to the mosque unfairly slanders Muslims who haven't committed terrorist acts. Tough. I've seen the mass celebrations in Muslim countries over 9/11 and still await anything more than whispered pro forma denunciations of terrorism by Muslim leaders.

After World War II, collective guilt was rightfully assigned to the people of Germany and Japan, even though not all were guilty of supporting terrorist governments. Muslims have given precious little reason to evade the same charge.

My German-born parents — my Jewish father and Protestant mother — subscribed to the idea of collective German guilt even though my Protestant relatives opposed and hated Hitler.

My father, who recognized the evil in Nazism early on, never forgave his sister Lotte, who refused to acknowledge the facts and who (as reported by her neighbors) waited docilely to be rounded up for shipment to the Auschwitz gas chambers. All his life, in sadness mixed with anger, he spoke of the millions who refused to see until it was too late.

Bloomberg and the other supporters of this mosque are spiritual heirs of Lotte and those millions of victims, seemingly ready to accept their fate. Those with a firmer grasp of history will oppose this mosque as a warning of what is to come.

Peter Gadiel, whose 23-year-old son, James, was killed on the 103rd floor of the World Trade Center on 9/11, is president of 9/11 Families for a Secure America.

America's Ruling Class Loves Islam

The blogosphere is abuzz about Angelo Codevilla’s seminal article in the American Spectator, and rightly so. “America’s Ruling Class – and the Perils of Revolution” distills the weird turmoil we’re living through into a simple observation: Ordinary Americans are being stomped by a ruling class.

Now let me add one more observation: The ruling class sides with Islam. Whenever a choice must be made between ordinary Americans and radical Islamists – and these days, the choices are coming fast and thick - the ruling class sides with the Islamists, every time.

Hence, the Ground Zero mosque, the White House-approved release of the Lockerbie bomber, Boston’s mayor giving $2 million of public land to the Muslim Brotherhood-linked Islamic Society of Boston for a mega-mosque, the PLO flag flying in D.C., etc.

So now everything is simple. We’re ruled by a ruling class that sides with Islam.

Using this easy metric, you can accurately predict events 97.8% of the time.

So Mahmoud Abbas brags that he convinced American Jewish leaders to exert political pressure to support him against Israel.

Chairman Mahmoud Abbas of the Palestinian Authority told the Fatah faction's central committee this week that he convinced United States Jews during his recent visit to the United States to tell President Barack Obama that there was an Arab partner for peace and to ask if there was an Israeli one. He said that after a two-hour meeting with "the Jewish lobby" there were those who promised to tell Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu to break up his coalition or declare his recognition of the two-state solution to the Arab-Israeli dispute.

Abbas said he met with the American-Israel Public Affairs Committee, the Council of Presidents of Major Jewish Organizations and J-Street because he had nothing to lose. He said such meetings were important, despite opposition to them in the Arab world.

Is Abbas lying? Quite possibly. But maybe not, especially since J Street was among the groups he met.

As for the rest of the attending honchos, their wispy, pudding-spined “leadership” has led us right into the desert of growing anti-semitism and increased vulnerability, allowing us to entertain the thought, however fleeting, that Abbas is telling the truth.

That’s why for today’s Prophet-Lashing, Isaiah spanks the Jewish establishment.

Jerusalem Weeps In The Night

Today is Tisha B’Av, the Jewish day of mourning that commemorates the many calamities that have befallen the Jewish people. The destruction of the first and second temples occurred on the ninth of Av, as well as the expulsion of the Jews from Spain, and the adoption of the Final Solution by the Nazis.

On Tisha B’Av, Jews read Lamentations, desperate poems describing the agony of the destruction of Jerusalem. Today, in Israel the parents of captured soldier Gilad Schalit are reading Lamentations with knowing anguish in their hearts.

And here in America, the image of Jerusalem weeping with none to comfort her has a terrible resonance in 2010. “All her allies have betrayed her; They have become her foes.” A pitch-perfect description of Obama’s Mideast policy, brought to you across the millennia by the holy scripture of Lamentations.

Prophet Isaiah Chews Out Biden

WASHINGTON — The Biden for President campaign committee owes the Treasury more than $219,000 because it accepted excessive campaign contributions and understated the value of a trip taken on a private plane in the 2008 campaign, the Federal Election Commission said in a new report.

Auditors from the agency found numerous violations of campaign finance rules by the committee that Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr. used in his bid for the Democratic presidential nomination.

Auditors found that the Biden campaign committee had accepted an improper “in-kind” contribution in the form of a round-trip flight on a private plane between New Hampshire and Iowa.

The commission also found that the Biden campaign had accepted many contributions exceeding the legal limit of $2,300 per election from any one person.

Senate VIP Loans Mount
Countrywide Dealt With More Lawmakers and Staffers Than Previously Known

U.S. senators or Senate employees received 30 loans—far more than had previously been known—under a controversial lending program at Countrywide Financial Corp. that provided cut-rate terms to favored borrowers.

The information is contained in a letter sent to the Senate Select Committee on Ethics by Rep. Darrell Issa (R., Calif.), who has been spearheading the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee’s investigation into Countrywide’s so-called VIP mortgage program.

Sens. Christopher Dodd (D., Conn.) and Kent Conrad (D., N.D.), have previously been identified among the high-profile individuals who received such loans. Both senators have denied wrongdoing. Until the Issa letter, no other senators or their staff members had been linked to the VIP loan program…

The letter said the House committee’s investigation had found that Countrywide used the VIP loan program to "build relationships with government officials."

By the way, Mr. Obama, as Senator, received more campaign money from Countrywide than even the estimable Mr. Dodd.

UPDATE: When Bad Rabbis Happen to A Good People

The 70 progressive rabbis who decided it would be a cute summer project to publicly destroy Dr. Charles Jacobs picked a bad time to do it. Dr. Jacobs "sin" was to tell the facts about the Saudi-funded mega-mosque in Boston and its alarming terrorist links. For this crime, Boston's wise and wonderful rabbis collectively declared in the Jewish Advocate that Charles Jacobs has spiritual cooties and everyone should stay several yards away.

I explained it all in my American Thinker article here.

Alas for the genius rabbis, no sooner had they declared their Jewish fatwa than the two jihadis Dr. Jacobs exposed were indicted on further charges of aiding al-Qaida.

Go figure!

2 charged in Mass. with conspiring to aid al-Qaida

BOSTON (AP) -- Two men accused in a terror plot to kill Americans face new federal charges that they conspired to provide personnel, advice, assistance and other services to al-Qaida.

A grand jury on Thursday added charges of conspiring to provide material support to a designated foreign terrorist organization in a superseding indictment against 27-year-old Tarek Mehanna of Sudbury, Mass., and 28-year-old Ahmad Abousamra. Authorities say Abousamra, who used to live in Mansfield, Mass., is now in Syria.

The men face up to 15 years in prison and a fine of $250,000 if convicted of the latest charge.

When reached by phone, Mehanna's lawyer, J.W. Carney Jr., did not comment.

The suspects already face a 10-count indictment. Prosecutors say the men conspired to kill American troops in Iraq, assassinate two unnamed U.S. politicians and shoot shoppers in U.S. malls.

Everything about Barack Obama is “unprecedented,” to use his favorite word, and 2010 will reveal his most unprecedented distinction yet: the complete collapse of public confidence in his presidency and a disgusted rejection of his leadership. If America had a parliamentary system, Obama would be headed back to Chicago in 6 months.

Obama’s fatal flaw is not his disastrous policies or laughably inept execution. His unforgivable failing is his inability to emotionally connect with ordinary Americans. When the really hard times hit this year – and oh, they will – Americans will find no reassuring strength or warmth in the newly royalist White House. And in their pain and despair, they will turn to the motherly dynamo from Alaska. Sarah Palin, who spends Christmas with her family serving a community dinner in her hometown of Wasilla. Sarah Palin, who always lovingly mentions the troops and their family’s sacrifice everywhere she goes. Sarah Palin, the Alaskan fox with a servant’s heart and a lion’s strength.

By the time the election of 2012 rolls around, it will merely confirm what is already well-established in the people’s minds and hearts: President Sarah Palin.

That was Qaradawi who gave Muslims the "spiritual" green light to murder American soldiers and civilian contractors in Iraq, and who empowered Muslim women with the coveted right to blow themselves up as homicide bombers. (Pregnant, too? No problem. Be his guest!) Naturally, he's guaranteed the full menu of 72 virgins to any lucky martyr who slaughters a Zionist pig.

Ground Zero Rally A Triumph of New Media

The giant protest on Sunday against the mosque at Ground Zero was a textbook example of new media defeating old. The ancient news channels gave no sign the rally was coming, stuck their fingers in their ears while it was happening, and then ignored it when it was over.

Meanwhile, over 8,000 freedom-loving Americans showed up, aglow with white-hot determination to protect sacred ground from being desecrated by Islamist vandals. They were knowledgeable, tough and not to be messed with. And they get their news from alternative channels like Atlas Shrugs, the legendary website of rally organizer Pamela Geller.

Without new media venues like American Thinker, I never would have been able to publish my article, A Sneak Preview of the Ground Zero Mega-Mosque, in which I tell the sordid story of the radical mosque in Boston.

Here’s an excerpt:

New Yorkers wondering what the $100-million, fifteen-story mega-mosque at Ground Zero will be like need only cast their eyes north to Boston. There they'll find the giant mosque of the Islamic Society of Boston, which, like the newly-approved Ground Zero mosque, was sold to the public by the politicians as a marvelous, desperately needed home for interfaith healing, and which quickly devolved into a cesspool of hate speech, terrorist affiliations, a lawsuit to shut down the mosque's critics, and a one-stop shop for genuflecting politicians to suck up to Muslims and collect their cash.

Yes, for those who followed the sordid saga of the Islamic Society of Boston Cultural Center, Ground Zero's promised Cordoba House is déjà vu all over again. On May 25, Lower Manhattan's Community Board 1 approved the Ground Zero mosque's construction by a vote of 29 to 1, with the warm blessings of Mayor Bloomberg and Manhattan Borough President Scott Stringer, who rhapsodized about its potential for "multi-faith dialogue" and accused its opponents of "outright bigotry and hatred."

These politicians, intelligent and canny men, chose to ignore certain, shall we say, troublesome signs: the deliberately provocative opening date of September 11, 2011. The refusal of Shari El-Gamal, who paid $4.85 million in cash for the site, to disclose investors. The testimony of the 9/11 families that El-Gamal showed them architectural renderings of a fifteen-story building with a mosque on the top floor, providing worshipers with a commanding view of Ground Zero -- despite public assurances that he's building a thirteen-story community center, not a mosque. And most glaring of all, the two-faced, double-talking, shariah-lovin' characters at the front of the operation, Imam Rauf and his wife, Daisy Khan.

Imam Rauf knows how to sling the peace and harmony mumbo-jumbo that makes the multicultural crowd go weak in the knees. He writes, "We believe that people of good faith can use the common core of their religions to find solutions to problems that will let them live together." Sweet, isn't it? But according to Debra Burlingame, co-founder of 9/11 Families for a Safe and Strong America, "Imam Rauf is a Muslim cleric who, immediately after 9/11, blamed the attacks on U.S. treatment of Muslims, asserting that Osama Bin Ladin [sic] was 'made in the U.S.A.'" His wife, Daisy Khan, showed her touching sensitivity to the sacredness of the Ground Zero site by testifying at the community board meeting that Cordoba House would provide "much needed party space." Who wouldn't want to party overlooking the site where 20,000 body parts were recovered? She also gave a PowerPoint presentation promising Cordoba House "would help non-Muslims to integrate" -- help some of us non-Muslims can do without.

All signs point to a repeat of the Islamic Society of Boston Cultural Center debacle, in which Mayor Thomas Menino practically gave away city-owned land worth $2 million to the Islamic Society of Boston, whose founder Abdurrahman Alamoudi currently sweats out a 23-year prison term for terrorist crimes. Mayor Menino donated the public's land for the construction of the ISB mosque -- excuse me, "Cultural Center" -- with the standard pleas for diversity, healing, peace, and frolicking unicorns. Of course, he didn't bother to investigate the peaceful healing record of the Middle Eastern men he was donating to: ISB Trustee Yusuf Qaradawi, spiritual leader of the Muslim Brotherhood, who's been banned from the U.S. and dubbed "the theologian of terror" by the ADL; ISB Trust President Osama Kandil, director of an Islamic charity designated as terrorist by the U.S. government; and ISB Trustee Jamal Badawi, an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation terrorism financing trial. But the mayor's speeches sure sounded pretty, and that's what counts.

When the Boston Herald and local Fox Network affiliate began exposing the ISB's nasty connections, the ISB responded with the typical relish of democracy's free speech hurly-burly we've come to expect from these types: They sued every single one of their public critics, including a refugee Muslim scholar who had translated some of their anti-Semitic, anti-American literature to enlighten the citizenry. Their brass-knuckles intimidation worked beautifully: the media went silent on reporting anything negative about the ISB, while the private citizens they sued were ordered by lawyers to keep daintily quiet. The ISB bigwigs sashayed to their opening ceremony in June 2009, where they were fulsomely feted by top politicians, Harvard scholars, and Christian and Jewish clergy.

So how's that new mosque working out for the Boston taxpayers who donated the valuable land? Well, there's hardly a dull moment around this hardworking bunch. One month after the mosque's opening, one of its biggest donors, Oussama Ziade, was indicted for taking cash from al-Qaeda's top fundraiser, Yassin Qadi. The son of the Islamic Center's vice president was arrested in October for plotting to murder shoppers in New England malls. And the Boston-based "Grey Lady of Al Qaeda," Aafia Siddiqui, who was convicted of trying to murder FBI agents in Afghanistan, enjoys the warm support of Imam Farooq, a leader in the local Muslim American Society (MAS), which controls the ISB Cultural Center.

Read it all. And keep spreading the word through new media about the stories the old media doesn’t want you to hear.

The Anti-Semites Uncover Their Fangs

Alone in the rock firmament, he adored his wife, raised healthy uncrazy kids, picked himself up after the public embarrassment of a disastrous marriage and energetically recommitted himself to music, his fans and new love. What a man!

And now for the first time in all these decades, he's made me quite sick. A man who's commanded a megaphone to the world since 1963 telling us lowly peons to back off and shut up? Using the unifying stage of the White House to insult a previous president, and delivering his ignorant slur with an adolescent chortle that debased all who heard it?

Paul, you alone have stood for unsullied charm and grace. Now you've really really blown it. You let me down, Paul. Bad.

And if you truly care so much about the environment, why didn't you sing Fixing A Hole? That's something your new presidential hero can't be bothered to do.

I'm pleased to say I've begun to write for one of my favorite websites, American Thinker. My first article was about America's Surrender of Space.

Here's an excerpt:

One of my most vivid memories from childhood is my father walking me to a hilltop at night and searching for the lights of Sputnik. My father, a scientist and patriotic new immigrant, immediately realized the importance of the Soviets' penetration of space. "That's where the future will be won," he told me, pointing to the star-flecked sky. "And America better get up there and win it."

America's subsequent triumph in space, as the first and only nation to land men on the moon and safely return them, is the greatest achievement of the 20th century. So it makes perverted sense for Obama to destroy our pride in this matchless accomplishment and stage our humiliation before the world. America, which once deployed masterly innovation, commitment and daring to vanquish the Soviets in space, is now deliberately stranding seven astronauts in orbit with no way home except to hitch a ride from the Russians. We've surrendered the New Frontier.

And I also wrote about the pathetic cowardliness of Hollywood in the face of the jihadi death threats against South Park's creators and Comedy Central's immediate capitulation:

Avert your eyes from the death threats against South Park's creators, when their home addresses are published on the web, along with a photo of slaughtered Dutch filmmaker Theo Van Gogh. Refrain from issuing a statement of solidarity, either individually or through your union. Zip your lips when Comedy Central immediately caves to the jihadist demands and censors the episode. Why make a big deal about it? It's not a life-or-death issue like, say, standing up for the right of child rapist Roman Polanski to go free.

It's exciting to write for American Thinker's intelligent and thoughtful readership and I hope to do so on a regular basis.

Who's Up For Their Cardiologist Detonating At Kennedy Airport?

The financial and medical devastation of ObamaCare have been discussed at length, but not its potential to undermine national security. On June 30, 2007, a Muslim doctor from Iraq, who worked at a National Health hospital in Scotland, rammed a Jeep Cherokee into Glasglow airport and set it on fire. Police quickly linked this terrorist act to a plot to detonate two car-bombs in London, which they’d defused 36 hours before. Eventually, seven foreign Muslim doctors were arrested in the plot, along with a doctor’s wife who worked as a lab technician. All eight worked for the National Health.

The terrifying attack brought to light the fact that Britain’s National Health Service was importing tens of thousands of doctors from the Middle East to fill its staffing shortfalls. According to the New York Times, of the 239,000 doctors registered with Britain’s General Medical Council, 90,000 are from other countries. Apparently, the once-honored profession of physician has tumbled to such low desirability in the wake of nationalized health care that Britain must import its doctors.

Get ready for the same demographic transformation here. In the wake of a recent survey of over 1,000 doctors in which 46% of primary doctors said they’d try to leave medicine if ObamaCare passes, we may be facing staggering physician shortfalls very soon. The answer, inevitably, would be the same as in England: import unfathomable numbers of radicalized Muslim doctors, give them access to our population when it’s most weak and vulnerable, equip them with radiological and biological weaponry, and spread them through every corner of the country on the taxpayers’ dime. Of course, given the administration’s demonstrated proclivities, this may be a feature, not a bug.

Dreams of My Father Begins With 2 Sadistic Acts

I finally started reading Dreams From My Father, the book which emotionally bonded millions of voters to Obama, thereby radically changing American history. Coming to it completely fresh, three insights jumped off the page.

First, it’s blindingly obvious Obama did not write this book. Three years into our daily bombardment of all things Obama, we’re numbingly familiar with his cadence, vocabulary, and mode of thinking. The man who, decoupled from his teleprompter, accuses his opponents of getting “all wee-wee’d up,” who assures us Austrians speak Austrian and that our health premium costs will plunge a mathematically impossible 3,000%, is utterly incapable of the fluid language printed here. At the American Thinker website, Jack Cashill has been diligently delving into the origins of the book, exposing both the linguistic evidence that ties it to Bill Ayers’ writings, and also the circumstantial evidence of Ayers as the author, as confirmed by Christopher Anderson’s book. What seems farfetched in theory becomes logical in context. Left to his own devices, Obama has never uttered a single linguistically or philosophically interesting public remark.

Second, Obama begins the book by proudly recounting a sadistic act. It’s right there on the first page of Chapter One: “When the weather was good, my roommate and I might sit out on the fire escape to smoke cigarettes and study the dusk washing blue over the city, or watch white people from the better neighborhoods walk their dogs down our block to let the animals shit on our curbs – “Scoop the poop, you bastards!” my roommate would shout with impressive rage, and we’d laugh at the faces of both master and beast, grim and unapologetic, as they hunkered down to do the deed. I enjoyed such moments – but only in brief.”

So the book which launched this man on his presidency begins by him looking down on rich white people invading “our block” to deface it, perhaps purposely, with manure. Then our young hero enjoys his roommate’s “impressive rage” from their lofty perch high above the sinning Caucausians, and shares in the agreeable laughter of watching grim white people shamed into doing the right thing by the righteous derision he has lobbed down from above. Well, well…

Third, Obama then, perhaps unconsciously, links his sadistic behavior to his father’s. Indeed, the next story the future president chooses to tell – our introduction to the father he named his book for - is how his father dangled a man over a hundred-foot cliff, because the man accidentally drops his favorite pipe. The story is told by his grandfather, who finds Barack Senior’s actions hilarious. “Gramps lets out a hoot and gives his knee a jovial slap. As he laughs, I imagine myself looking up at my father, dark against the brilliant sun, the transgressor’s arms flailing about as he’s held aloft. A fearsome vision of justice.” So once again, Obama presents us with the story’s hero, aggressively, (and in this case, criminally) standing above a minor sinner, dispensing sadistic justice to hoots of laughter. And indeed, Barack Senior rationalizes his violence by assuring his wife he only did it for the sinner’s good: “I only wanted to teach the chap a lesson about the proper care of other people’s property!’

I’m only five pages into this historic book and I’ve already twice encountered the driving theme of Obama’s presidency: derisively forcing us lowly sinners into doing what’s good for us from his immaculate celestial perch.

If It Drove Denzel Washington to Take Hostages, What Will It Do To Us?

Does anybody remember John Q, a 2002 melodrama that starred Denzel Washington as a loving father driven mad by his insurance company’s refusal to pay for his son’s heart transplant? Faced with his son’s imminent death, Denzel seizes his only option: taking the hospital emergency room hostage until doctors agree to perform the operation.

The movie portrays Denzel sympathetically as the victim of greedy insurance companies and openly pleads for national health insurance. But what happens when it’s the government who’s refusing your son – or mother – or wife – the heart transplant? What happens when it’s the friendly Congressman in your local diner whose vote resulted in the health care rationing that’s killing someone you love? What do you do when you see your Senator at the State Fair and know that his vote put your father in his coffin? What then?

Do the Democrats really understand that they are inserting themselves deeply inside the most basic, primal, and holy emotion in the world – the protective love we feel for our families? Are they prepared to deal with this sick new world they’re making?

Did We Dream Scott Brown?

Remember that glorious election in Massachusetts two weeks ago when Scott Brown scored Ted Kennedy’s old Senate seat? What happened? Where did he go? Not the U.S. Senate, unfortunately. They’re still partying on without him, voting along strictly party lines, 60-39 to increase the federal government borrowing limit to $14.3 trillion. Where was Senator Scott Brown? Why was the man he replaced, Paul Kirk, voting in his stead, exactly the opposite from how Brown would have voted? Why isn’t anybody even asking why he isn’t there? Do we suddenly not care?

The run-up to the election was explosive with political drama and speculation. The Democrats threatened to not seat Brown, and the blogosphere, led by the inspired political activists at HillBuzz.org , proposed epically theatrical counter-measures: Brown leading a citizen convoy of truck-drivers down to Washington where he would set up office on the Senate steps until he was rightfully seated.

Now here we are, two weeks later, and NOTHING’S happened? Brown is giving celebrity interviews to Barbara Walters and enjoying leisurely dinners with his supporters back home…and business as usual in proceeding in the Senate of merrily bankrupting the country at record-setting pace. And nobody is even bothering to give an explanation of WHY?

Will somebody please tell me what’s going on? And while you’re at it, will you also let me know how we’re going to fight back against the socialist onslaught if every time we win we kick back, open a few beers and take a two-week nap? Did we dream Scott Brown?

For years, Democrats have hurled a megaton emotion bomb into any logical discussion of their radical policies: Do it for the children. Delivered in a hushed, simpering tone, this oh-so-predictable line explodes into the conversation and effectively ends it by trumping logic with the speaker’s visionary compassion.

It’s time that Americans who stand for freedom, decency and common sense take that line back.

Here are 5 reasons to do it for the children and vote for Scott Brown.

1. Children need the love and wisdom of their grandparents. If ObamaCare passes, medical care will be rationed and the eldest will be the hardest hit. Grandmothers and grandfathers will be condemned to earlier deaths and wrenched away from the children whose lives they could have lovingly guided.

2. Children should not be condemned to a life of servitude to pay back government debt. The Democrats have placed Kevin Jennings in the role of “Safe Schools Czar,” where he can powerfully expand his storied career of grooming children for sexual exploitation, exposing them to pornography and traumatizing and debasing them for life.

Pamela is the indispensable daily chronicler of the Islamic assault on the West. November 11, 2001: Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise has signed up for a sequel to his most famous role, military aviator Pete “Maverick” Mitchell in Top Gun, but this time he’ll play the role in real life. Hollywood’s biggest star enlisted last week in the Air Force, and will report for basic training next week to Lackland Air Force Base in Texas.

In a brief appearance today at the Bob Hope Hollywood USO, Mr. Cruise flashed his trademark smile and said, “I’m so excited about serving my country, I feel like jumping on this couch. Like all Americans, I was saddened and outraged by the attacks of September 11. Now I just want to do my part in the fight ahead. And I’m looking forward to working with the greatest bunch of guys in the world.”

A reporter from Vanity Fair shouted, “Does this have anything to do with your cousin Karen?” In response, Mr. Cruise’s eyes seemed to tear up, but he quickly responded, “This has to do with patriotism. And the Air Force values: Integrity First, Service Before Self and Excellence In All We Do.

Sources close to Mr. Cruise say he was deeply affected by the death of his cousin Karen, an IT specialist who was one of 658 Cantor Fitzgerald employees who died at the World Trade Center. “She was a fantastic person and he loved her a lot. But he doesn’t want to talk about her, because he feels that’s too personal. He sees this as not being about him and his grief, but about the country.”

Another source confided, “Tom has always had a thing about Clark Gable. He’s admired Gable’s service in World War II, flying combat missions over Germany for the U.S. Army Air Force. Now it’s his turn. And being the super-competitive guy he is, he’s probably aiming to win more medals than Gable ever did!”

As he left the press conference, Mr. Cruise turned to the reporters and shouted, “Tell those Taliban bastards, I’m comin’ to get ‘em!”

The Spiritual Challenge of Barack Hussein Obama

2010 will be a year of monumental challenges, as Americans rise to regain their freedom. But in order to successfully win the economic, military and political battles, we first must win the spiritual one.

The Jewish tradition begins the new year with a period of atonement when we search our souls with cold-eyed, hot-blooded clarity. We seek to locate, define, and expunge our sins and start the year with morally-elevated resolve.

As I prepared for Yom Kippur in September, I wrote this essay on America’s 10 Biggest Sins. At the dawn of 2010, I offer it here.

When John Adams and Thomas Jefferson died within hours of each other on July 4, 1826, the 50th birthday of the nation they helped to create, many Americans regarded this stunning coincidence as a sign from God. John Quincy Adams wrote in his diary that night their twinned deaths were a “visible and palpable” manifestation of “Divine favor”; Daniel Webster eulogized in Boston that it was “proof…that our country, and its benefactors, are objects of His care.”

If we accept the premise of these early patriots that God works His mission through the United States and its leaders, then we must ask ourselves what destiny God is working through America today. A mere 183 years after Jefferson’s and Adam’s deaths – a droplet in the divine ocean of time – our country and its benefactors must still be “objects of His care.”

So what has God rendered for us in the leadership of Barack Hussein Obama? It’s not difficult to imagine divine intervention in his unprecedented rise: an obscure state senator, completely unknown five years ago, now bestrides the world like a colossus, rapidly accumulating more power than any man in history.

As I prepare for Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, I offer this possibility for your consideration: God has indeed raised Barack Hussein Obama to the pinnacle of earthly power, so that we can atone for our modern sins through overcoming the challenge that he represents.

It’s not as if we weren’t warned. God affixed him with the strange name Hussein Obama, a name that weirdly resonates with the names of America’s two most lethal enemies on the morning of September 11, 2001 (Saddam Hussein, Osama bin Laden). He even arranged for his initials to send out a mocking stench: B.O. And He boiled down the essence of Obama’s political philosophy into a single phrase which was widely disseminated and discussed before the election: God Damn America.

Nevertheless, Americans freely choose this man. A man who, against all probability, manages to combine and embody every contemporary sin within his slender 6’ 1 ½” frame. Consider the astonishing number of civic ills he single-handedly represents: corruption, Islamism, racism, Marxism, moral relativism, atheism, death cultism, celebrity-ism, contempt for the law, and elitism.

Let’s take a look at these top 10:

Corruption: Chicago has been the uncontested national symbol of corruption for decades. Because we refused to root it out, we now have Obama in the White House, and his chosen consiglieres, David Axelrod and Rahm Emmanuel, who rocketed to the top of the Chicago swamp by virtue of their vices, including an insatiable appetite for cronyism, kickbacks and intimidation. Obama’s pet community organization, ACORN, was recently unmasked as a criminal enterprise eager to aid and abet brothels of underage illegally smuggled girls, a fitting commentary on Chicago’s moral standards.

Islamism: Because we refused to face the challenge of radical Islam posed by 9/11, we now have Hussein Obama in the White House, who bows to the Saudi King, claims America is a Muslim country, releases high profile terrorists, gives $900 million to Hamas and accuses Israel of illegitimacy.

Racism: If he looked like Joe Biden, he would never have been elected. His major qualification was his dark skin, not the content of his character. Because we succumbed to the easy path of assuaging racial guilt through affirmative action, we now have a perfect product of affirmative action in the White House: an unqualified race-monger who selected a Supreme Court Justice for her superior Latina wisdom and an Attorney General who accuses Americans of being “cowards about race.”

Marxism: Because we ignored the Marxist ideology relentlessly spreading through our schools, we now have a Marxist in the White House making good on his promise to “spread the wealth.” As middle class incomes and savings drain away, the nonpartisan Tax Foundation now says Obama’s plan will redistribute $1 trillion in wealth every year from the top 30 percent of American families to the bottom 70 percent.

Moral Relativism: Because we declined to speak up for America’s goodness, accomplishments and blessings, we now have a President who travels the world blaming America and seeking the praise of our vilest enemies. A man who stands at the United Nations podium facing a sickening assortment of thugs and dictators, proclaiming ,“No nation can or should try to dominate another nation.” A man who openly begged Iran to bless us with their presence at our Embassies’ July 4th barbecues, as the mullahs decreed that Iranian protestors should be massacred to death on the street.

Atheism: Because we allowed our churches and synagogues to grow emptier by the week, and encouraged the erasure of all signs of respect for the divine in our civic life, we now have a President who cancels National Prayer Day, covers up the cross in his appearances at a Christian school, belongs to no house of worship, and cynically uses religious figures as conduits for his political propaganda. Because we evicted God from our lives, we now have Obama worshippers who teach school children to sing hymns of praise to him, and who uncritically revere him as The One, The Lightbringer.

Death Cultism: Because we took great pride in our legal enshrinement of abortion, we now have a President who voted twice for infanticide (the murder of babies who survive abortion), and who now seeks to bring this same standard of compassion to our entire health care system. A man whose health care revolution will bring forth “death panels” through anonymous government accountants, and whose supporters try to win us to their cause with a Newsweek cover story on “The Case for Killing Granny.”

Celebrity-ism: Because we focused on frivolous celebrity worship at a time of great national danger, we now have a mere celebrity in the White House. An empty vain narcissistic man infatuated with his image on television, who seems panic-stricken away from the spotlight and whose cultish fans worship him like a rock star.

Contempt for the law: Because we agreed to a “living Constitution” instead of the one our Founding Fathers gave us, we now have a President who claimed the Constitution has a “fatal flaw,” and who delights in daily shredding it: nationalizing private businesses, firing chief executives, determining corporate salaries and so on. How fitting that we don’t even know if he’s Constitutionally qualified for his office, since he’s spent over a million dollars fighting the release of his birth certificate, and has locked up his college transcripts, passport, draft records and all other official documents.

Elitism: Because we worshipped the credential-ism of the Ivy Leagues, even as they grew increasingly cancerous with political correctness, we now have a Harvard lawyer who thinks regular Americans “bitterly cling to their guns and religion” and who has appointed dozens of “czars” to rule over us without transparency or accountability.

God has sent us Barack Hussein Obama as a distillation of our sins. It’s time now to atone and recover our spiritual strength by overcoming the challenge of his reign.

Make the God of Irony Laugh: Elect Scott Brown

Irony: a state of affairs that is often deliberately contrary to what one expects

Whenever Senator Edward Kennedy was not abandoning a starry-eyed young woman to drown in his car, drinking himself cross-eyed with his nephew who then stumbled off to incur rape charges, or publicly groping women with his pal Senator Christopher Dodd in sexual encounters they nicknamed “waitress sandwiches,” he was, of course, soberly dedicated to every American’s well-being.

And his eternal lodestar was nationalized health care. As President Obama eulogized, “We can still hear his voice bellowing through the Senate chamber, face reddened, fist pounding the podium, a veritable force of nature, in support of health care…”

Nationalized health care was so entwined in Kennedy’s persona that Rush Limbaugh has been predicting since Kennedy’s illness was made public that the Democrats would use his death as the rallying cry to finally pass it.

So wouldn’t it be the most delicious irony for Kennedy’s death to derail it instead? With every passing day, that scenario looks more possible as Republican candidate Scott Brown gains ground on Democrat Martha Coakley in the special election to fill Kennedy’s Senate seat.

Brown is a proud member of the Massachusetts National Guard, a free-market advocate and an affable man whose good lucks have earned him the title “Senator Hottie McAwesome,” from the adorable HillBuzz boys at HillBuzz.org.

Attorney General Coakley, meanwhile, has avoided the press, vacationed during the campaign, and admitted she overlooked more than $200,000 in savings when she mistakenly claimed to have zero personal assets in a financial disclosure required of candidates for U.S. Senate.

This phenomenal plot twist is being handed to us on a Back Bay heirloom platter: Scott Brown could actually pull this off and deprive the Democrats of that crucial last vote to put nationalized health care over the top.

Why Sarah Palin Will Be President in 2010

Pundits who speculate about Sarah Palin’s chances in 2012 may be missing the stunning tectonic shift rumbling right under their noses: Sarah Palin will become the people’s president this year, the leader most Americans turn to for emotional comfort, moral guidance and national unity when crises strike.

Everything about Barack Obama is “unprecedented,” to use his favorite word, and 2010 will reveal his most unprecedented distinction yet: the complete collapse of public confidence in his presidency and a disgusted rejection of his leadership. If America had a parliamentary system, Obama would be headed back to Chicago in 6 months.

Obama’s fatal flaw is not his disastrous policies or laughably inept execution. His unforgivable failing is his inability to emotionally connect with ordinary Americans. In his glory days of the campaign, when the media assured us he was “god-like” (Evan Thomas, Newsweek) and he was still sending thrills up Chris Matthews’ leg, he could thunder down emotional cataclysms on cue from his Styrofoam-columned Olympus. Those days are long gone.

What’s left is a cold clueless man who giggled like a stoner freshman when discussing the global financial meltdown, prompting interviewer Steve Kroft to ask, “Are you punch drunk?”; who gave a casual shout-out to his cronies before listlessly announcing the biggest terror attack on America since 9/11; who shambled before the cameras without a tie to grumpily declare the PantyBomber who was scaring the pants off of Americans was “allegedly” a “suspect”; and who can’t even bother to pretend he cares enough about Christmas to attend church.

When the really hard times hit this year – and oh, they will – Americans will find no reassuring strength or warmth in the newly royalist White House. And in their pain and despair, they will turn to the motherly dynamo from Alaska. Sarah Palin, who spends Christmas with her family serving a community dinner in her hometown of Wasilla. Sarah Palin, who always lovingly mentions the troops and their family’s sacrifice everywhere she goes. Sarah Palin, the Alaskan fox with a servant’s heart and a lion’s strength.

By the time the election of 2012 rolls around, it will merely confirm what is already well-established in the people’s minds and hearts: President Sarah Palin.
